We're here, for as long as you need
We provide palliative and end of life care to adults (18+) with a progressive, treatable but not curable life-limiting illness or with severe frailty, and also their family (including children) and carers.
We care for people across our 800sq mile catchment area which covers Bath & North East Somerset (BaNES), and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset. Our services provide physical, psychological and/or spiritual support, and are free of charge. We’re available day and night to ensure that you have the right care, at the right time.
When someone is ill, it’s not just the patient who is affected. Life can be turned upside down for the family and for friends and carers. That’s why we’re here for you, for as long as you need. Our patient, family and carer resources can be accessed via our Information Hub.
Donate now
Your donation will help us care for even more patients and their families when they need it the most. Not only will it support people at the Hospice at Winsley House, but it also supports your community and those that wish to be cared for at home. Thank you.
Ways to get involved
Light Up A Life 2024
It is our privilege to invite you to sponsor a light on our beautiful Christmas tree in the grounds of Winsley House, in memory of a loved one. The light will shine continuously throughout the festive season in their honour.
Not only is it a tribute to the special person in your life, your dedication to this year’s Light up a Life Appeal ensures patients and families will continue to receive care when and where they need it most. A generous sponsorship of £82.30 could fund the cost of one of our nurse specialists visiting a patient in the comfort of their own home.
Write your own ending
Whatever your life story, you can’t be sure of the ending. But you can take steps to write your final chapter.
We offer free help and advice on getting your affairs in order and making your wishes known, including free online wills via our partnership with Farewill. So that when your time comes, everything’s in place and you can focus on the stuff that really matters.

Sky Kids FYI - Lifecycles
We are proud to be featured in the latest episode of Sky Kids FYI, in a film entitled ‘Lifecycles.’
The team filmed at the Hospice, exploring our Interactive Nature Trail with Lucy, whose dad was cared for on our Inpatient Unit, and Julia Davidson from our Family Services Team. The film is a welcome iteration of our vision of a society where death is a part of life, and the importance of destigmatising death and dying for children and young people.
You can watch the full episode of FYI on demand via Sky News YouTube, Sky Kids, and the First News website.
