Snowdrops and Hellebores open garden events – a blooming great show!
We are thrilled to announce that the much-loved Snowdrops and Hellebores open garden events raised over £8,000 in total this year for vital services at Dorothy House – an incredible result!
The annual Snowdrops open garden event marks the early glimmers of spring for our Fundraising team at Dorothy House HQ.
Snowdrops at Great Chalfield
On February 16, Great Chalfield Manor once again opened its doors to enchanting snowdrop displays. The event was attended by over 400 members of the public, who delighted in the historic beauty of the estate, as well as the wonderful array of snowdrop blooms across the breadth of the gorgeous garden.
We were incredibly pleased to announce that the event raised over £4,900 this year. A huge thanks to the hosts at Great Chalfield Manor for their continued support of Dorothy House, and to our amazing community who attended and enjoyed the afternoon.
Hellebores at Kapunda
Later in March, our team were on-site at Kapunda in Bath for the beloved Hellebores open garden event. The sun was shining down on the crowd of 270 who visited the beautiful garden and marvelled at the stunning hellebores displays and unique floral species. We were thrilled to announce the total raised through this event was £3,160. A big thanks goes to the wonderful hosts at Kapunda, and to the community for their steadfast support in raising funds for our services.
A big thank you!
We are so grateful to our wonderful hosts, as well as our amazing volunteer teams, who play a crucial role in ensuring the success of these open garden events, as well as many others.
