Dorothy House’s Christmas Tree Collection 2025

We are delighted to announce that our annual Christmas Tree Collection had another record-breaking result; raising £121,317.29 in total, at a time when we need it most.

In partnership with national charity, Just Helping, this is the ninth annual year we have run this initiative, and it’s incredible to see the Collection grow from strength to strength, year on year.

We are so grateful to everyone who registered their tree to be collected by Dorothy House and made a donation. Not only will the money raised support Dorothy House to continue delivering vital core services, 5% of the total amount will be distributed to local charities in our region.

Across the three days in January, our amazing team of over 240 volunteers collected over 5,900 trees across our patch. As a result, we produced 53 tonnes of chippings, which will be sustainably re-distributed to agricultural spaces across our patch, including the Hospice gardens at Winsley.

Our annual tree collection would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our wonderful army of community volunteers who gave their time (and vehicles!) to support us; thank you to all of these fantastic people, we are so grateful for your support.
