For the first time ever, we’re aiming to raise £500,000 in just 36 hours in a ground-breaking fundraising super-sprint, and we want as many people as possible to get involved.

Currently, Dorothy House cares for over 2500 patients with life-limiting illnesses each year. However, the need for palliative and end of life care is rising. By 2025, over 5500 patients in our community will require this form of care. To meet that need, we must evolve. By supporting the Always Here Appeal, you’ll help us to adapt and enhance the way we work, meaning that we can bringing outstanding care to more people, closer to their homes.

We have the plan – now we need you. By joining our team of Dorothy House Champions, you’ll be helping us to ensure that no one in our community faces death alone. If you have a phone, and you’re willing to send a message out to your network, you have everything you need to get involved, and you don’t even need to leave your sofa!

How does it work?

This appeal is all about creating a viral effect, getting as many people as possible to donate at once, and encouraging others to do the same. On Sunday 6 November at 10am, it’s all go! As a Champion, you’ll need to reach out via phone, text and email to everyone in your network, contacting as many people as possible during the 36 hours and asking them to support the appeal. You’ll have your unique fundraising page set up beforehand, and all donations will go towards our £500,000 goal. Once you’ve reached out to everyone in your network, it’s simply a case of sitting back and watching your donations roll in!

But there’s more. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible matched funders, all donations made in those 36 hours will be doubled – double the donations, double the impact!
