Join us for our second Race the Dragon Day hosted by CK Sup & Paddle!
A day of racing, live music and good food!
Race the Dragon Day is a fun-filled day of race action, live music, food and competitive spirit! On the day, there will be an outside coffee pod station and food ordering point. Refreshments will also be available to purchase at the bar and restaurant inside The Boathouse.
The race itself is a 400m sprint downstream using the Dragon boards supplied by CK Sup & Paddle. Buoyancy aids are mandatory and will be provided to those who don’t have their own.
Timings of the day
Registration opens from 9:00am with a complimentary breakfast roll, and the races will begin at 10:00am and finish around 4:00pm.
Medal and trophy presentations will be from 4:30pm with a 5:00pm finish.
Creating your team
To take part, we invite you to make up a team of 5, think of a fun team name and dig out your best fancy dress – if this floats your boat! (Fancy dress is optional).
The winning team from the day will be awarded with a carved wooden dragon trophy and individual medals! Runners up will receive a wooden spoon trophy and individual wooden spoons!
Please note that at least two team members are required to be 18 or older to participate in this event and the minimum age of participants is 12 years old.
Entry fee and raising funds for Dorothy House
Entry fee is £15 per person.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets in aid of Dorothy House on the day, with amazing prizes to be won!
In 2023, the Race the Dragon event raised a fabulous £1000, and this year CK Sup & Paddle will once again be donating 10% of all entry fees to the Hospice. These vital funds will continue to support the Hospice and the care teams out in the community to deliver outstanding care to patients and families across Bath and North East Somerset, and parts of Somerset and Wiltshire.
