Steps to hosting a Coffee Morning

Why?

Holding a Coffee Morning is a fun and rewarding way to help raise vital funds for the Hospice, supporting us as we continue to deliver our work in the community.

Where?

You can hold a Dorothy House Coffee Morning (or other social event!) at home, in your workplace or even at school. Oh, and don’t forget to share your delicious snaps with us on socials by using the hashtag #DorothyHouseCoffeeMorning.

How?

To host your very own Coffee Morning, all you need to do is register for your FREE Coffee Morning Event Pack by clicking the ‘register for your Coffee Morning’ button at the top of this page. In the pack, we’ve included everything you need – well, except the coffee! So pop the kettle on, stick the cakes in the oven and get those biccies out!

Top tips for hosting a Coffee Morning

One of the best things about hosting a Coffee Morning is that you can do so any time of the year, for whatever occasion. Here’s a few suggestions to get those ideas going!

• Theme your event around a particular holiday, such as Easter, Halloween or Christmas.

• If you’re hosting in memory of someone, consider holding it on a date that was special to that person, such as their birthday or an occasion they always celebrated.

• If you’ve been inspired by the latest happenings in the Bake-Off tent, you could even host a GBBO themed event – minus the stress of the technical challenge, of course!

• Of course, having a theme is optional – if you want to hold a Coffee Morning ‘just because,’ go ahead!
